THE CLASSROOM PROJECT:

Aakaar stands as an embodiment of cultural resurgence - a vibrant Gujarati Typeface meticulously crafted to revive vernacular essence in a modern milieu. Positioned as a captivating display Typeface, it heralds a reconnection with heritage, especially targeting the youth.

THE DESIGN:

'Aakar', rooted in the Gujarati term for 'form', epitomizes a visual journey echoing both tradition and innovation. Drawing inspiration from the distinguished legacies of Baskerville and Bodoni, its design ethos seamlessly intertwines. Embracing the graceful thick and thin stroke contrast reminiscent of Bodoni, it exudes timeless elegance. Meanwhile, the refined terminals and soft serifs pay homage to the organic finesse of Baskerville, culminating in a harmonious fusion of past and present typographic aesthetics.
