American University Sports Marketing

During my role at SWAP I was the main designer for creating the marketing content. I would create marketing content for many different brands/sports clubs. The goal was to create marketing graphics that would highlight the products and also the players themselves yet also there was a large focus on making sure the graphics fit the brand guidelines of each team.

I created many marketing for Universities sports teams such as Michigan. With these it was important to use the brands yellow and blue colour scheme. I would work on campaigns such as a count down to kick off which would use the players number with a special design for each day to bring excitement and engagement for the kick off and its card collection based on the event.

Syracuse was another team that I created many marketing designs for. I always used its iconic blue and orange colour scheme. I would give a yellow shade to the orange in these graphics to give the colours a extra vibrant pop and look like a orange (the mascot was a orange). I worked on creating giveaway graphics, hyping up the products, and trying to bring excitement to the events during when they where happening, every graphic had research to be relevant to the time.

For Michigan State marketing graphics I used greens, gold and white to fit with the brand. Sometimes I would look a brush/paper effect on the marketing graphics since this would fit with the branding of Michigan State. Similar to all the universities I would create many different kinds of marketing graphics daily such as giveaways, hyping up events, and showing off the themed card sets.

Another university sports team I worked with was Illinois. I used its blue and orange with white colour scheme. However I didn't want these to clash with the Syracuse marketing since it was also orange and blue. Even though the colours are different hues I focused more on the blue and white for the Illinois ones so they would not clash if they were posted closed together.
