Threads - Prioritize Small Creators Post's

Over in Threads, there a big uproar about the announcement that Thread's algorithm will start to prioritize content from creators with small audiences. Now I think this is great for creators like me to get my content seen on the platform. But it got me thinking, why stopped there? Why not let users decide that they want to see content from creators with small audiences?
