(a creative pet peeve)

There’s just something off when people say “I can do that”, “that looks easy”, or “I can do better than that” when they see someone's design that is oh-so-good (oh, please I am not referring to myself, I am not there yet), but some of the creatives that I know that say these things haven’t tried to create something like that, or don’t have the portfolio to back it up.

I am just standing there thinking that there’s a big difference between someone who is trying right now and someone who just thinks that they can do that. And don’t get me wrong, being competitive is okay — nothing wrong with that. But how come they can say that without actually even trying? I am mostly just baffled by this kind of attitude and honestly, it’s just annoying to hear because you just know the steps, but never took it.
