Synchro Arts RePitch

In 2021, LANDR acquired Synchro Arts, a well-respected company based in the UK, specialized in professional vocal production plugins. After their integration to the LANDR family, the first product we worked on is a competitor to Melodyne, a pitch correction software. The idea was to:

  1. Keep the features that Medolyne users loved while solving their pain points

  2. Integrate the technological strengths of Revoice and VocAlign

  3. Design an easy-to-use plugin with great user experience

  4. Establish a completely new look-and-feel that will be used for future products

Once again, we asked our good friends at Resonant Design to give us a hand with the design. With their help, we taught the folks at Synchro Arts how we usually do design at LANDR. Since this was a pretty technical project, the German agency did most of the design work, but I took part in every steps of the process, from ideation to development of version 1.0. After its launch in 2022, I designed a few of the features that were added for versions 1.1 to 1.3.

I'm proud of what we've done. Since I'm not a music creator, learning how to use those very technical products was challenging. The reviews have been positive, and RePitch keeps growing in popularity and maturity. Some of the elements, patterns and interactions that were designed were reused in Revoice Pro 5, Synchro Arts' flagship product.

“RePitch is fast, intuitive and easy to use.

It’s also deep… but most importantly,

it just sounds great.” —Attack Magazine
