After offering online AI mastering for over a decade, LANDR finally launched, in 2023, its first mastering plugin for software DAWs. This brand new product was our answer to a few major requests from customers:

1. More control on how the master sounds

2. Better visualization and understanding of the changes

3. Faster workflow with real-time processing

4. Non-recurring payments

Preserving the simplicity and ease-of-use that LANDR has been known for was real challenge for this. The limitations that plugin development brought us was also a good learning experience.

In terms of design, we collaborated closely with the talented folks from Resonant Design, our friends from Germany. Most of the design work was organized and produced by them. With a handful of experts and members of the management team, I participated in every steps of the process: wireframes, moodboards, art direction, UI design, reviews, development and QA.

I'm pretty proud to have been part of this project and the team's hard work paid off. Since the release, it has received many positive reviews and has been one of the company's best selling products.
