Full Time Icons
“How can icon design be a full time job?”
That question was sent to me a few weeks ago and it's been on my mind ever since.
As the barrier to entry for apps, websites, etc. have decreased, the need to be distinguished from the competition has increased. Brands, both large and small, have begun focusing on their visual presentation in an unprecedented way. Especially those focused on apps.
I've written over 70 blog posts about icons and have hardly even scratched the surface. In fact, I rarely touch on the technical aspects and already have new content planed for most of 2016.
