First-aid guide

The St. Margaret Family Health Centers contacted my studio to revisit a first aid guide originally made for school nurses in 1991. Our task was to each develop a physical artifact and eBook that re-contextualizes and rethinks the organizational system and voice of the original. I chose freshman college students as my audience because they are adapting to a new living environment. I considered which graphic style, scale, and wording would best suit this user group.

The owner of the written copy, Dr. Ann McGaffey, referred to our designs to update the guide. Provided with an unformatted text document of comprehensive first aid instructions, I came up with a type and hierarchical system to present the information in a convenient notebook for college students.
