When a website plus an app is too much, why not combine them both?

Wichita Riverfest is the largest outdoor event in Kansas, but it’s run by a surprisingly small organization. Within their team, every work hour counts, and managing the calendar and information on both a native app and a website was a tedium that had to be avoided. We talked through the pros and cons of switching to a web app and concluded that it would be a perfect switch.

A web app is a website that looks and feels like an app. On your phone, you can add it right to your home screen and open it apart from your web browser. While there are some limitations compared to native apps, the Wichita Festivals crew was excited to be able to offer something with no download required. Say no more!
