Mobile CRM

The goal

Translate the newly-developed CRM feature we had designed for our client into a mobile-friendly view that could be accessed by users easily on-the-go.

The challenge

Because we started working on desktop designs before mobile, we had to make sure the UX and elements used in the main app could be easily developed for mobile (spoiler: they could). At the same time, because the features weren't an exact 1:1 from the main app to mobile, this version of the CRM needed a few adaptations to still make sense from the user's POV.

The process

Because good work was done in the larger-size designs, this part is easy enough: we took the desktop CRM's components and layout, and everything responded down nicely. Design-wise little work was re-done here, as some of the mobile unique behaviours (eg. how filters work desktop vs mobile) was left up to the devs finish up.

The outcome

We created a minimalist, no-frills view of users' Deals in a CRM they could access anytime, anywhere - feature our client's users kept asking for over and over. For more complex tasks, the Deals CRM main feature could be best used on a computer, but with this adapted feature Affiliate marketers could get the best of both worlds.
