About the Brand
Based out of Portland, Oregon, USA, Athena stands tall as a symbol of excellence in the cosmetics industry. With a steadfast commitment to crafting top-tier products, their creations draw inspiration from ancient beauty secrets, ensuring unparalleled quality and long-lasting results. Yet, Athena's purpose extends beyond cosmetics – it's a movement to empower individuals to embrace their inner goddesses, encouraging them to confidently revel in their natural beauty.
The Logo
As a nod to Athena's Greek heritage, we've designed the "E" as an epsilon symbol, reflecting their commitment to attention to detail and creating quality products. The use of all caps signifies strength and power, mirroring Athena’s commitment to empowering individuals to embrace their uniqueness.
The Brand Mark
For the brand mark we crafted a more fluid and artistic rendition of the Greek letter “Theta” (Θ), which corresponds to the “Th” sound in English, as found in “Athena.” The Theta symbol embodies notions of unity, wisdom, and knowledge, aligning with Athena Beauty’s’ dedication to creating products steeped in ancient knowledge.
The Color Palette
In crafting the color palette, we selected a refined blend of burgundy and cream. Burgundy exudes elegance and symbolizes Athenas' unwavering commitment to excellence, while cream softens the brand's aesthetic, infusing it with warmth and approachability. This harmonious combination not only captures the essence of sophistication but also extends a welcoming invitation to all.
The Typography
For the brand's typography, we meticulously chose a sleek sans-serif typeface in all caps, known for its thin, clean, and minimalist design. This selection was made to harmoniously complement the logo, emphasizing Athenas' strength and mission to empower individuals to celebrate their natural beauty. Additionally, for the secondary type, we chose another, more standard sans-serif font, prioritizing simplicity and readability to guarantee clear communication across all brand materials.
