Beach Brews Cafe Logo

I designed a logo for Beach Brews Cafe to be used on some of the menu designs. I wanted to create a logo using lines/strokes instead of being filled with color.

My main idea was to combine coffee with the beach. I liked the idea of using a wave or water motif within a mug. I decided on a shorter cup with a splashing wave from my set of sketches because I thought it would provide the most versatility.

The gradient design would be fun for a plain color background, or maybe to use on business cards or tshirts. However, the majority of the logo use would likely be single color, so I made sure the logo worked in brand colors as well as black and white.
