Beach Brews Cafe Menu

I came up with the concept of a beachside cafe that would require a menu. The cafe prides itself on its commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment. The coffee shop opens early in the morning and mainly serves surfers who frequent the beach where they are located.

I decided to use green and blue for this design. I didn’t want to use overly saturated colors in order to give the design a more down-to-earth feel. The image above shows some of my sketching process. I knew I wanted to use rectangles to organize the different menu sections, but I wanted them to feel dynamic rather than plain.

I designed three different variations of the menu. The coffee names are adapted from surfer slang. The filler text is taken from "Cupcake Ipsum."
