Here's a volunteer project I worked on a month ago for DSAYR

Sock Design

I wanted the design to be playful while meaningful, so each sock has some fun odes to 3-21 (March 21st).

Three is significant because it represents the extra chromosome in people with Down syndrome. I incorporated this number through the sections (three yellow and three multi-coloured) and the patterns in each section.

On the right sock, the main body is separated in 21 squares to represent Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome). Both socks also have ribbing that includes 21 lines!

Typography

The fun part about this "font" is that it actually represents the subtle design of real life chromosomes through the darker parts.
