Game UI

Knowledgehook is committing at full force to improving engagement and appeal to young students. There are so many Edtech tools out there that claim to improve student learning, but at the end of the day, learning is driven by a child's willingness to learn. That is why designing for engagement is so crucial in Edtech.

We began planning out the look and feel of the new UI. For the style of the new design components, I was inspired by popular mobile game apps and pc/console games.

The challenge was that our inspiration from top-tier gaming industries had the advantage of building on advanced game engines that could produce those high-depth game graphics. Knowledgehook is a web platform and our UI is limited to HTML, CSS, and javascript. There were not a lot of examples out there... but with amazing collaboration with our developers, we were able to pull this off!
