Introducing Cardino: Simplifying EV Sales

Cardino, a successful Berlin-based startup, offers an app to aid in selling electric vehicles. With a low-code stack and a website hosted on Webflow, they prioritize simplicity and efficiency. When working on their Webflow site, I employed a Client-First framework, focusing on responsiveness and accessibility to enhance user experience.

Global Accessibility: Multilingual Website

Cardino prides itself on its wide European reach, catering to a diverse audience spanning multiple languages. Leveraging Webflow's native localization feature, we seamlessly integrated two languages into their website, with more on the horizon. Transitioning to localization was a seamless process, with over 100 blog posts and 10+ pages translated without any disruption to the site's uptime. Each URL was meticulously crafted to preserve vital keywords, ensuring optimal SEO performance across all language variations.

Figma and Webflow in Perfect Sync

In our quest for digital excellence, we embarked on a journey to declutter Cardino's CSS and streamline their design elements. By identifying and eliminating duplicate classes in Webflow, such as confusingly similar shades of grey, we optimized the backend infrastructure for enhanced efficiency. Additionally, I transferred their updated style guide to Figma, empowering the team to create realistic mockups for future page designs with ease and precision.

Custom Solutions at Zero Cost

Cost-effectiveness and user engagement were at the forefront of our strategy when integrating Mailchimp seamlessly into Cardino's website, eliminating the need for third-party automation solutions, therefore saving money.

Additionally, I developed a smart JavaScript pop-up that engages visitors without overwhelming them. This customizable feature, tailored to Cardino's preferences, ensures a friendly user experience while maximizing conversion rates. Controlled by session cookies, the pop-up appears only once per session, further enhancing user satisfaction and retention. This was done in Webflow, without the need for third-party widgets, therefore saving money on this as well.

Unclogging E-mail Inboxes with Zendesk

In response to Cardino's diverse customer base, we devised a custom contact us page featuring a simple toggle button for users to specify their inquiry type. This intuitive solution ensures inquiries are directed to the appropriate channels, enhancing efficiency. With Zendesk, Cardino now handles messages easily, giving personalized help to everyone.

Driving Digital Excellence: SEO at the Forefront

Continuously monitoring ahrefs reports, we ensure that their digital footprint remains robust and competitive in the ever-evolving online landscape. Additionally, prioritizing Google PageSpeed optimization, leveraging ‘webp’ image formats and aria labels, we uphold industry best practices to enhance accessibility and user experience across the board.
