I was tasked with designing a custom video player for CNET based on the BrightCove video player that utilizes out new Neon site styles.

This involved reading through many pages of documentation from BrightCove as well as inspecting live examples of the video player via Codepen to learn how the player was built so that I could convert it to a basic template in Figma. From there I started to implement our Neon styles into the player and used my years of experience as a developer to determine what UI elements could easily be modified or added to the the base BrightCove experience to deliver a great user experience, but also ensure that everything was within scope for the dev team and we stayed on schedule for launch.
