Collapsed in the morning

I had light-headedness this morning and passed out. When I regained consciousness, I found myself lying on the floor. Apparently, as I was falling, I hit my face, arm, and side, resulting in painful bruises.

My sis was sleeping in the next room, so she should have heard the sound of me collapsing, but she ignored me. She’s been avoiding her family and friends for a while now because we disapprove of her relationship with a violent boyfriend. It’s really sad. We used to be good friends, but because of her toxic relationship, she feels like a stranger even though we live in the same house.

Sometimes, we hear news about someone having bruises all over their body, but they are safe. That may not be life-threatening. However, the experience of having bruises covering your body must be excruciating. Every time I have significant bruises, I cannot help but think about that.

Imagining something you’ve never experienced is difficult.
