Skol and Hati

Hati and Sköll, in Norse mythology, are giant wolves who relentlessly pursue Máni (the moon) and Sól (the sun) each day and night, respectively, seeking to devour them. Lunar eclipses occur when Hati gets too close to Máni, while solar eclipses happen when Sköll catches up with Sól.
