Poster: Turn the Switch off

PROBLEM

People often light the light bulb in their room but forget to turn it off when the necessity is over. It is even worse in the daytime. So I was looking for a way to touch them in a way so that they find their wrongdoing by themselves.

APPROACH

I was looking for a dialogue that would do the work and found one. How about:

Do you know?

That, pressing the opposite side of the switch

will turn the bulb off

With the dialogue (copy) in mind, I used the Gemini AI from Google to generate a decent scene that best depicts the scenario. I had to make some tweaks to the chosen image. For the poster, I had to outpaint the image in Dalle-2 to get more height.

POSTER DESIGN

Then I used Figma to design the poster. As the language is Bengali, I had a few options in typography to choose from. But I went with the typography and color contrast for the appeal. As the sentence is about to 'turn the bulb off', I choose #000 as the foreground color to the background color #3A3A3A on the wall.

I also designed a social media version of the image for the best impact.
