Product for Creator Economy - UX Study Case

Tribelio Creator Platform is a revolutionary platform that empowers creators to build and publish courses. With Tribelio, creators can easily create high-quality courses, market them to their target audience, and track their progress.

One of the key features of Tribeliopage Platform is the instant payment feature. This feature allows creators to receive payments for their courses immediately, without having to wait for a lengthy processing period, We will bring it to the Tribelio Creator platform.

To ensure that only high-quality courses are published on Tribeversity, Tribelio has implemented enhanced product specifications. These specifications are designed to ensure that courses are relevant to the Tribeversity-education profile and meet the needs of learners.

Role, Team, Timeline & Tools

My role here is Product Designer, the timeline is in February and March of 2024, I teamed up with some fantastic folks – the Owner, Product Manager, and the Developer team – to tackle some improvements for Tribelio creators.

Background

The Instant Payment feature on Tribeliopage was already existing and functioning well. However, there were several adjustments that needed to be made to accommodate the diverse creator profiles and types of products that will be accommodated on Tribeversity.

We faced a few challenges, such as:

  • Unclear product specifications: This allowed products that did not align with the Tribeversity-Education profile to enter the platform.

  • Revenue generation: We wanted to generate more revenue from this feature.

We aimed to address these issues because, from our perspective, we wanted the image of Tribeversity as an educational platform service to run properly, and we wanted to generate more revenue from the addition of this product.

Research πŸ§‘β€πŸ”¬

Tribelio User Research

The purpose of this research is to understand the needs and desires of Tribelio users for future platform development. And the method is qualitative research, and conducted with several Tribelio users, including stakeholders.

Research Findings:

1. Desire for Unique and Specific Products:

Users want the Tribelio platform to offer products that are specific and not generic, allowing them to provide additional value and differentiation.

2. Physical Product Offering:

Users desire the availability of physical products for purchase, such as books and merchandise, to strengthen the connection between buyers and creators.

3. Selling Digital Goods:

Users want the Tribelio platform to facilitate the sale of various digital products, like Photoshop templates, Canva templates, and more.

4. Building Buyer Connection:

Users want the Tribelio platform to offer features that help them build closer relationships with buyers, such as hosting meetups and events.

5. E-Book Sales:

Users want the Tribelio platform to offer features for selling E-Books with access on Tribeversity and the ability to upload chapters one at a time. This is important to accommodate the time-consuming nature of E-Book creation and allow for saving completed chapters.

Users prefer new products on the Tribelio platform to have a similar user experience to existing products, making adaptation and use easier.

8. Marketplace Visibility:

Users want the Tribelio platform to showcase their products in a marketplace, reaching a wider audience of potential buyers.

How Might We πŸ—£οΈ

Define the Problem

Then we asked, "How can we effectively combine these various products into one platform, and make it easier for users to access them on the marketplace?"

Product Principles

Seamless Product Integration

We will aim to maintain a consistent visual language and user interface (UI) across all integrated products. Users should feel like they're within the same platform, regardless of which product they're currently interacting with.

Communication and Transparency

We want to Highlight how it simplifies product promotion, streamlines the buying process, and ultimately enhances the user experience for everyone.

Scalability and Maintainability

We allow for future integration of additional products without compromising the user experience. This ensures the platform can adapt and grow over time.

Product Use Cases

Creator

For creators, they need to create specific products, with separate menus for each product, and they also need to publish their products to Tribeversity. And here is a list of some products that we have defined and created based on the research conducted:

  • Books

  • Digital Products

  • E-Books

  • Events

  • Merchandise

  • Courses (This is an existing feature that needs to be relocated)

Buyer

For buyers, they need a menu to navigate various products on Tribeversity. We need a feature for them to track physical products, as well as several personalized payment options tailored to each product type.
