Smart Kettle Companion App

This was part of an exercise I completed recently to design a companion app for a smart kettle. This view allowed you to set the temperature and set some different options.

My approach was to keep things simple, elegant and modern. I worked hard to distill the interface in order to reduce complexity and superfluous elements.

When thinking of a ‘smart kettle’ lots of useful features come to mind. With that said, in order to add some constraints I chose to focus on a core few:
- Preset temperatures, with the ability to add and modify
- 1-tap Start
- Notify Me: Recieve a push no;fica;on when the keCle has come to temperature
- Keep Warm: KeCle will hold the temperature for 30 minutes

Potential features and controls that were out of scope:
- Settings
- Water volume/dosing: this would require the kettle to have a
resevoir, which would be sweet, but was not in the scope of this exercise.
- Timers
- Schedules
- Errors/Alerts: no water, can’t connect with kettle, etc.
