Daily UI Challenge: Day 3 (Improving Usability/accessibility)
Revamped for clarity and conversion!
This is a redesign of an e-commerce website page, focusing on accessibility and usability while staying true to the brand identity.
Improved user experience and inclusivity!
This project focused on revamping an existing e-commerce website, prioritizing accessibility and user experience. Here's a breakdown of the improvements:
High Contrast: Bolstered color contrast across text, buttons, and all UI elements for better legibility and readability across all vision abilities.
Top Navigation Bar: Introduced a clear and concise navigation bar featuring essential sections: Categories, Hot Offers, Gift Boxes, Trends, Buy Again, and Help (customer support).
Streamlined Category Browsing: Clicking "Categories" triggers a user-friendly, dark-backgrounded overlay sidebar showcasing all product categories, including Women's Fashion, Men's Fashion, Clothing, Home Decor, Sports, and more.
Reduced Cognitive Load: Categories are presented in bite-sized chunks (4 per section) adhering to Hicks' Law and Miller's Law, preventing information overload.
Visual Hierarchy FTW: Headings are now visually prominent for quick information scanning (say goodbye to monotonous text blocks!).
Organized Product Cards: Products are presented in well-structured cards, displaying essential details to influence click-through rates. Subtle shadows add visual separation for a clean presentation.
The Outcome?
An e-commerce experience that's inclusive, user-friendly, and drives informed purchases. Stay tuned for further iterations!
