Trendy Shit

There's been a surge of crafty brush script fonts being created lately. I've been a fan of handmade elements in design and art, and I've been a fan of well designed script typefaces that started out as hand lettering or brush fonts. The surge of interest in brush fonts is encouraging and the experimentation is interesting––I love it––but at some point I think we reached 'peak brush fonts' and my social media feed became oversaturated with them to the point I simply couldn't appreciate them the way I used to. So then I thought: "how else could we use these?" Are there some unorthodox ways to make them interesting again? This is my take.
