I've Heard That Before - Card Game Design

I've Heard That Before is a fictional musical card game where players compete to win by matching song pairs containing the same phrase. This card game is a personal project that allowed me to delve into designing for card and board games, specifically to practice packaging design, card design and a rulebook design.

There were two inspirations behind the box design: a DJ turntable as a main element through which I was able to display the title of the game and its contents, and an audio spectrum which serves a decorative purpose bringing more color to the elements of the card game, as well as tying in each individual element that comes with the game (the box, the cards and the rulebook).

The game itself does not exist (it is neither published nor sold), it is only an idea meant to practice designing for this industry. Maybe one day it will exist, but for now I hope you've enjoyed the designs.
