Social Snapshot: Instagram UI Clone

For this project, the goal was to recreate the classic look of Instagram, taking users back to the familiar interface of one of the most popular social media platforms. The process involved dissecting the older version of Instagram and meticulously cloning its interface, focusing on the iconic features that users came to associate with the app's earlier design philosophy.

Every aspect of the design, from the profile view to the navigation icons, was reimagined to capture the essence of Instagram's UI before its evolution into current styles. Special attention was given to typography, iconography, and layout to ensure authenticity in the clone. Using Figma, I worked on replicating the intuitive and visually engaging experience, with high fidelity to the original design.

Particular design techniques, like masking, were employed to recreate the intricate visuals associated with Instagram's UI, such as profile pictures and story highlights. The export process preserved the visual quality of the design, ensuring that the images displayed the intricacy of the UI with clarity and precision. This clone serves as a nod to the nostalgic aesthetics of social media interfaces from the past.
