Whenever I visited my dad’s office, I would feel annoyed by not seeing women in the office. Women are just as essential as men. In Mexico, there is still a lot of gender inequality, and this really breaks my heart. This is what inspired me to design a women's collection made out of recycled men's suits. I asked all men in my family to give me their old suits. I ended up with over 15 old blazers and I destroyed each one of them to create a new feminine collection with masculine traits. Every piece is made to empower women with feminine silhouettes made from destroyed men's suits. When I destroyed these men's suits I essentially destroyed the inequality that it represents. These pieces are a bold statement of gender equality.
