Colonial Scrip is a hedge fund startup and approached me with the task of creating the brand identity for the firm. At is core, investing is exploring the market for promising opportunities. Hedge funds are the pioneers fo the investment landscape managing larger risk in hopes of greater returns.

The name of the firm comes from colonial scrip which was the first fiat currency to be used in the American colonies and allowed the colonies to control their monetary policy. This was significant because it granted the colonies the freedom to control its own money supply and stabilize its economy. The theme of European exploration and sea navigation to the Americas was carried throughout the project to capture the sense of unknown risk, great opportunity and adventure.
