Fling logo re-design
After starting my new position with Fling, an app that lets you send a message or "fling" to 50 like-minded people around the world, I was given the opportunity to re-design it's logo.
Here is a brief overview into some of the theory behind its new appearance, if you're interested and a few more details attached.
An essential aspect of the re-design was to retain the instantly recognisable paper plane, a symbol that epitomises the fun, free brand aspect, integral to Flings identity.
The new logo now has a totally custom script typeface to represent the uniqueness of personality, reflective of the users of the app, each having their own reason and perspective when sending a message (Fling), with the connection of letters representing the social connection and the journey of a message the app provides. The slanted text gives an instant injection of energy and dynamism.
