Crevice Game Map Design
Hello there! 😊
I've completed my task #UIX101 #029 😀
In this task, we were asked to draw a map illustrating the hero's journey in the game world for a #fantasy game. Whether it's for #mobile or #desktop was left up to us.
Previously, under the mindset of "Let's make a game this weekend", we released a game called Crevice to the store, which I designed with an #MVP mindset, and @Orkun Tümer coded it just as quickly. Due to workload and other commitments, we hadn't been able to update it for a while. Finally, taking advantage of this #challenge, I focused on designing a map specifically for Crevice.
Let me briefly explain the game: The game starts with our fish character, and as you progress through the levels, the main #character evolves (into a frog, lizard...). The goal is to reach the end of the game by passing through the crevices without hitting the bars (by the way, the name of the game means crevice) and collecting the bait. As you progress through the stages, the game speeds up and the number of bars increases. For those who crave action, there's also a separate mode with random levels. Since we target a wide user base, the sequential levels may seem slow at first, but believe me, reaching the final levels is not easy at all 😀
In the new map design, we started with aquatic life, so there's a long river. When you finish a level with a certain number of stars, the corresponding level buoy turns yellow with that many #stars. In addition, while the game's #MVP version featured 2D elements, the new design involves a transition to 3D.
Maybe this could be the next update, what do you say Orkun Tümer? 😀
