Mendix World Logo Icon Concept

The Mendix biannual user conference is coming up, so begins the process of developing a new logo and associated brand assets. The 2016 theme is inspiring innovation. I created a light bulb (compact fluorescent) within a globe to symbolize innovation in the world. If you look at the icon from certain angles, you can see "M" and "W" for Mendix World.

I was inspired by warm yellows and oranges paired with vibrant and deep blues. The yellows/oranges combined with the blues represent innovation within Mendix. The two colors are complementary, as are the two concepts.
