Jar with apples

Thanks to a painting course and a great teacher, this was the end-result of my first ever oil painting. The techniques used are based on the old masters from the Netherlands of the 15'th and 16'th century. Layer by layer, using glacis, the painting progressively gain more depth and realism. Although it's hard to find time to make paintings, I really do enjoy making them.
