This brand has its roots in Japan, a country that continues to be a leading force in the modern automobile industry. As I delved into the essence of this brand, I felt a strong urge to create a distinctive brand mark that pays homage to Japan's rich tradition of art and craftsmanship.

The idea struck me: "What about 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa,' the iconic woodblock print by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai?" This masterpiece is globally recognized and rightfully holds a prime position when we think of Japanese artistry and craftsmanship.

Yet, the intricacies of the original painting proved too detailed to serve as an effective brand icon. I sought to simplify it in a unique way, and that's when the idea to transform the wave into a 'Steller's sea-eagle' head emerged. This design not only encapsulates the spirit of 'The Great Wave' but also, at a glance, resembles a majestic mountain fuji – a symbol of strength and resilience.
