Smart Home Control App
Hello everyone,
I have completed task #UIX101 #021 😀
In this task, I designed a smart home control panel. A smart home control system is a technology set that allows users to remotely control electronic devices and systems in their homes. These systems are usually managed through a central control unit or a mobile application. Smart home control systems enable users to turn lights on and off, adjust temperature and air quality, monitor security cameras, and even program devices in their homes automatically. These systems typically operate via wireless communication protocols like Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, providing users with the flexibility to manage and control their homes remotely. Smart home control systems are designed to enhance comfort, increase energy efficiency, and improve security, making home life easier for users.
In designing the system, I prioritized security. Therefore, I allocated a separate section for security on the dashboard, allowing users to quickly access cameras and lock doors. Additionally, I created a quick access section where users can add widgets for devices they can control. The features added to the quick access section can also be accessed and controlled from the user's smartwatch, with transitions between features achieved using the crown for practical use on a small screen.
Thinking about the user's kitchen, I envisioned lighting, heating, and a coffee maker that they can control, so I added these settings to the design.
For the bedroom, users can control lighting and heating, as well as access music from the audio system.

Lastly, the settings page allows users to log in, change passwords, and delete accounts. From the notification settings, users can choose whether to receive emergency notifications and how they receive them. In the application settings section, they can select language and theme preferences, update the application, and view the current version.
People of all ages use smart home systems, and when faced with a security issue, trying to understand the application in a panic situation can be a serious problem. Therefore, I aimed to design an application with a simple, easy-to-read, and practical navigation system, perhaps even without the need for a navbar, allowing users to shape their own dashboard according to their needs.
I hope you like it 🏠
