A Brave Girl Named Ayah (Excerpt)
Prominent businesswoman Amanda Dambuza entrusted Sea Monster to develop her book, A Brave Girl Named Ayah, into an animated TV series pilot, ready to pitch to broadcasters.
Inspired by Amanda's own difficult childhood in South Africa, it follows Ayah, a too-eager-to-please orphan, as she attempts to fit in with her new friends Thomas and Tanya at her new school.
Sea Monster worked closely with Amanda to ensure the authenticity of her vision was preserved, while adapting it into a fun, saleable kids show ready for production.
Made with Adobe Illustrator, Storyboard Pro and Toon Boom Harmony.
