Research Publications: UX in Our Lives
As a part of the course “Research Methods for Graphic Design” at OCAD University, I worked on two research publications. My theme was based on a question of “How can user experience design significantly affect people’s lives and make their daily interactions and experience with surroundings easier?”
Research Publication 1: Image Archive
For the first publication I had to create an archive of images selected around my theme. I tried to show a brief of UX history in the first chapter using images and then show how it surrounds us and it exists in everything, even a water spray!
Research Publication 2: Annotated Bibliography
For my second publication, I developed a textual archive as opposed to a visual archive with my previously chosen theme. I talked about psychology in User Experience and scientific reasoning behind the effects of UX in our daily lives.
Both of these publications were designed as a printed artefact in standard “zine” format (5.5” ✕ 8.5”).
