Logo & Brand Design - Nunu Bar, Philly

One of my all-time favorite projects: the logo, branding, and menu design for Nunu (RIP) in Philly’s Fishtown neighborhood. Collaborating with my pals at Cheu Noodle Bar and Bing Bing Dim Sum was always a blast, so when they invited me to join their new yakitori, sushi, and sake bar concept, I jumped at the chance!

The design ethos of both the restaurant's interior and brand pays homage to the fusion of old and new, blending the rich heritage of traditional Japanese art and zodiac concepts with modern street art and graphic design.

This venture also introduced me to the fascinating world of sake – I'll never forget my first (and certainly not last) sake flight. From their mouthwatering sushi to the life-changing Kare Kare fries, Nunu's culinary offerings were simply outstanding. The ambiance exuded a serene Zen vibe that left a lasting impression.

Nunu, you are deeply missed, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to honor you in my portfolio. Kanpai! 乾杯!
