League of Champions Branding Ambev

Briefing

The "League of Champions" project, in collaboration with Ambev and Pepsi Black, aimed to provide a unique and unforgettable experience for a select group of guests participating in Ambev's CRM program, offering them the exceptional opportunity to attend the 2022/2023 Champions League final in Istanbul. This ambitious endeavor faced the significant challenge of designing innovative packaging. This packaging had to serve a dual purpose: not only to contain the special invitation to the event but also to act as a stand for a personalized trophy – a mini official Champions League ball with the name of each guest. The safety of the ball's transportation emerged as a crucial concern, requiring a solution that would ensure the integrity of the personalized trophy throughout the journey, while also enhancing the exclusive and memorable nature of the experience.

Solution

To address the challenge presented by the "League of Champions" project, we developed an innovative and multifunctional packaging solution. The packaging was carefully designed not only to accommodate the special invitation for the guests to attend the Champions League final in Istanbul but also to serve as a stable and secure base for the personalized trophy each guest would receive: a mini official Champions League ball with their name engraved. The design of the packaging focused on ensuring the safety of the trophy during transport, incorporating a transparent acrylic box that not only protected the ball from damage but also allowed it to be prominently displayed. We integrated a special suction cup into the design to ensure the ball remained securely fixed within the packaging, minimizing the risk of displacement or damage. Furthermore, the visual concept of the project was applied to the packaging, ensuring that the unboxing experience was as unique and memorable as the event participation itself. This attention to the visual and functional details of the packaging not only overcame the challenge of creating a meaningful experience for the guests but also reinforced the exclusivity and value of the brand, transforming the act of receiving and unboxing the invitation into a moment of surprise and delight.
