Alex Buono, DP of the SNL Film Unit & Co-Director/DP of the new IFC comedy series Documentary Now went on a 33 city international tour called Visual Storytelling 2. Newstream has had a long outstanding relationship with MZed, and was excited to help produce another award winning tour. When creating a website we always say that content is key, and next to content it’s art direction. Having access to Alex’s work work fromSaturday Night Live, and Documentary Now made the art direction a blast.

The only request we had from Alex and the team was come up with a 70’s geographic modern brand that reminds you a bit of a Wes Anderson title. Whewwwww… that’s a mouthful. To pull this off we worked with the awarded illustrator CubenX to come up with the patterns for us to incorporate into the design.
