Project Objectives:
Smith Custom Homes, a premier home builder based in Tampa, Florida, partnered with Service Slash for a comprehensive redesign of their website. The primary objectives were to enhance user experience, modernize the design, and effectively showcase Smith Custom Homes' portfolio of custom-built residences, major remodels, and home additions. Additionally, the goal was to improve website performance and increase engagement to attract prospective clients.
Role:
As the lead designer and developer at Service Slash, I led the Smith Custom Homes website redesign project. Responsibilities encompassed conducting thorough client consultations, defining project goals and requirements, designing wireframes and mockups, implementing custom features and functionalities, and ensuring seamless integration across all devices and platforms.
Challenges Faced:
One of the primary challenges encountered during this project was capturing the essence of Smith Custom Homes' craftsmanship and personalized service within a digital platform. Integrating features such as interactive galleries showcasing past projects and providing comprehensive information about the custom home building process required meticulous attention to detail to convey the brand's dedication to quality and customer satisfaction.
Solutions Implemented:
To address these challenges, I adopted a design approach that emphasized elegance, sophistication, and user-friendliness. Extensive research was conducted to understand the preferences of Smith Custom Homes' target audience and the unique aspects of the custom home building industry. Detailed wireframes and prototypes were developed to visualize design concepts and gather feedback from the client. Leveraging the latest web technologies and frameworks, I crafted a responsive website with intuitive navigation, stunning visuals, and compelling content to showcase Smith Custom Homes' expertise and inspire potential clients. Additionally, special emphasis was placed on SEO optimization and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies to enhance visibility and encourage inquiries and consultations.
