Estonian children´s magazine "Hea Laps"
Estonian children´s magazine "Hea Laps" asked me to do February´s front cover and I'm really proud of it.
Every February there is Vastlapäev (Shrove Tuesday in english?) and my illustration was inspired by that. Traditionally you would eat whipped cream buns (like the dog in the illustration has) and you would sledge. Sledging is important – the longer the sledge, the longer the stalk of flax would be in the fields next summer. At least that used to be the belief, so the kids are measuring their distance on my illustration.
