Flash Message Design

Hello,

I've completed task #UIX101 #011 😊

In this task, I designed a Flash Message example, considering the positive meaning of green and the negative meaning of red as much as possible, (also keeping color-blind users in mind).

These flash messages are designed to be encountered by students on an interactive #edtech platform when they either pass a level or need to retry. I chose the Star Wars theme for this task. I paid attention to a few points to convey both positive and negative feelings to the user:

  1. I preferred to design with the #StarWars theme as #MasterYoda is a widely known iconic character. I used #Midjourney for visuals. I paid attention to using appropriate prompts to achieve serious and happy facial expressions of the character. Additionally, I made the messages humorous by using expressions from the movies.

  2. I did some research on color blindness. While the most common type is the inability to distinguish between green and red, there are also cases where blue and yellow cannot be distinguished. Two colors that most people in the world can see (including color-blind individuals) are white and black. While white is considered as the combination of all colors, black is perceived as the absence of all colors. Accordingly, I chose a white background for positive messages and a black one for negative messages. I ensured high contrast between the text and the background.

  3. In case visuals cannot be seen for any reason, I highlighted the message of whether the level is passed or not by using a larger font size in the text section.
