One of the most extreme techniques of fluid painting is smashing paint with a mallet. This creates dynamic and unpredictable patterns of color. To do this, you need a hard substrate , acrylic paints, pouring medium, plastic cups and a mallet. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Prepare your substrate by laying it on a flat surface covered with a base coat of paint.
2. Mix your paints with pouring medium in separate cups. You can experiment with different combinations and colors.
3. Pour or drip your paints onto the canvas in any way you like. You can create circles, stripes, swirls, or random blobs of paint.
4. Take your mallet and smash the paint with force. Be careful not to hit yourself. You can smash as many times as you want, in different directions and angles.
