Melvins & Boris - Twins of Evil Tour

I've wanted to design gig posters since before I even began my design/art career but for one reason or another it never really ended up happening. Maybe I didn't know the right people, I had too little time, it was the wrong time, or I straight up feared not being able to deliver the goods in a way I'd be proud of. Fortunately that all changed recently - all the stars aligned on this piece and I was able to design my first gig poster for two bands that have been major staples in my listening diet for most of my adult life - @melvinsdotcom and @borisdronevil who were being supported by a band who was new to me but really kills called @mrphylzzzband.

I put a LOT of hours into this thing, there was tons of trial and error, redrawing, changing ideas midway through a panel, and doubts all along the way about the whole thing. This project forced me to learn so many new things and helped resurrect my love for illustration I all but abandoned many year ago and DAMN did it feel good to break out of my comfort zone of cleanly vectorized typography for once. I'm hoping this is the start of a new chapter in my career and that I can do more of this moving forward.
