Batik parang is one of the motifs that is restricted in use. This motif could only be worn by nobles and knights at that time during the Mataram kingdom. Parang motif was created by Panembahan Senopati as a nobleman during the Islamic Mataram kingdom. The shape of this motif is like almost broken which means, we as humans can still improve ourselves. Not only that, the "S" shape in this motif has the implied meaning that we as humans should not give up and must keep moving and have an impact like the waves of the sea.
