LGBTQ Acceptance in Hip-Hop | Feature Illustration

Excited to share with y’all a half-page illustration I created for SOPHIE Magazine's Culture section. The illustration is featured in an article titled 'The Evolving Voice: LGBTQ Acceptance in Hip-Hop,' written by Mike Pompliano.

This article is incredibly important to me because it sheds light on the way queerness is carving out its own space in an industry that has traditionally been associated with toxic masculinity and violence.

For this illustration, I drew inspiration from some of my favorite queer rappers such as Lil Nas X, Kevin Abstract, Kalifa (Le1f), Mykki Blanco, and Frank Ocean to pay homage to their work and resistance. 🌈✊🏽🎤✨
