Back in 2010 - 11 we were engage by a social entrepreneur who wanted to help the homeless across Australia.

The Backpack Bed is a backpack that converts into an all weather protection outdoor camping bed with a built-in insulation mattress. The material is slash proof and is light, durable, and comfortable.The Backpack Bed is given freely to the homeless turned away from shelters by 100+ organisations around Australia.

The success of the program has resulted in international exposure and requests from around the world.Due to popular demand - the same multi-award winning Backpack Bed is now available to the public to buy. Profits from Backpack Bed sales go 100% towards ‘Swags for Homeless’ homeless projects.

The Backpack Bed has been awarded 3 international product design awards:1. Red Dot: ‘Best of the Best’ 2011 award in Germany - both the first charity globally and product from Australia to win this highest honour since 1955. Now in the worlds largest contemporary design museum in Essen, Germany.2. Australian International Design Award 20113. Powerhouse Museum Design Award 2011.
