Smart Home App Design
This functional and visually appealing design portrays a smart home app for mobile devices that focuses on creating interfaces inspired by Midjourney, Dribbble, and Mobbbin. Apple Home and Google Home principles were incorporated, ensuring usability and effective feedback.
Pen tools were exclusively used to draw 80% of the components in the glass dome, including the house, with a precise corner radius. The shadow reflection at the base of the dome and the trees was flipped horizontally to depict the sun rising from the west. This was done for each of the app icons on the home screen to create a nice swipe gesture.
Lots of variants were created to give cool prototype animations. Different techniques for converting raster images into vector graphics using Image Tracer and Vectorizer were also employed.
Components
Toggle buttons: Utilizing the knob component enables you to activate or deactivate the light in the glass dome. The light icon on the left simultaneously glows.
Moon/Sun icon: This allows for a smooth transition from day to night and ditto. A dark mode for the night and a bright purple-pink for the day.
