Bankston's Memoribilia, Comics, & Collectibles (Concept)

Overview

This project was a redesign of an existing website for my web design class. Using a combination Photoshop, Adobe XD, HTML, and CSS I redesigned the site with the goals of easier navigation and a cleaner design as the focal points.

Homepage

The homepage was designed for ease of navigation using clean design principles. The navigation links are on the top right of the screen with the main logo as the homepage link to the top left. A banner image of some comic books tells the user what the site is for immediately and the humorous quote draws them in to want to learn more.

About Page

The about page offers the key information a user may need to come interact with the store. The story section provides a brief history of the store to build user trust, the hours section tells the user when the store is open, and the map section gives the user an easy way to find the store if they decide to visit. The goal of the page was to drive user traffic to the store (in this case sometimes literally).

Products Page

After clicking on the products link the user is taken to the following page where they can select which area of products they are looking for. This include toys, sports, and comics. This was decided upon since collectors (presumably the main source of income for the store) usually specialize in one particular area. By offering users the ability to select what category they want, it speeds up their ability to find what they are looking for.

Contact Page

This simple contact page gives users a greater interaction with the store to build trust and brand loyalty. Since the site was not designed to be an E-commerce website, but a site designed to drive physical store traffic, it merely offers a way to send an email to interact with the store.
