Pediatrician | Spot Illustration
Little spot illustration I did in my Editorial Illustration class to accompany The New Yorker’s article "What a Pediatrician Can Do for a Child Seeking Asylum — and What She Can’t" written by Rachel Pearson.
For this piece in particular, I wanted to address to the experiences that pediatricians refer as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES). ACES cause children severe or chronic stress and are due to exposure to violence, neglect and sexual abuse.
